A Team's Field (Home-Away) Analysis + Unique Tool

In this article, the Corner-stats.com team explains the home-away filter, as well as a separate unique tool that allows you to evaluate a team's home field advantage in just two clicks and compare it with other teams in the tournament.

The Home-Away filter can be used on tournament, team, or match pages.

As a reminder, the Home-Away filter can be combined with other filters. For example, you can filter for a team's home matches in international tournaments over the last two seasons.

Now we'll tell you about a unique tool from the football statistics service Corner-stats.com that allows you to evaluate a team's home field advantage and compare it with other teams in the tournament. To do this, on the tournament page, in the Relations tab, select the same indicator at the top and bottom, as well as the same period (the Home-Away filter does not need to be touched). If everything is done correctly, the message "!!! Relation of Home stats to Away stats is shown" will appear above the table.

As a result, we get the ratio of the team's total at home to the team's total at away (column 1), the team's individual home/away totals (column 2), and the opponent's home/away totals (column 3). Recalling our elementary school math, we determine that if the ratio is greater than one, then the home value is higher than the away value, and vice versa.

The table is initially sorted by total in descending order. Clicking on the names of other columns allows you to sort by them in ascending order (a second click sorts them in descending order).
